Institute for a Democratic Future

The Institute for a Democratic Future (IDF) is a six month program for young adults, ages 21-36, who want to learn more about politics, government, public policy and issues in Washington state.  We strive for a diverse class of various backgrounds from across Washington state and select our class based on not only what they will learn from the program but also what they will offer other students in the program.  This program is not for the wallflower - to the contrary, IDF is helping to build the next generation of leaders in Washington state.  If you are interested in learning more about IDF, please click here.  If you're ready to apply for the Class of 2011, please click here.

The Class of 2010 has officially graduated!  We are very excited about this year's class and the next phase of their political lives.  They came from all across the state with diverse backgrounds and differing opinions.  Some were deep blue Democrat, some were pale blue Democrat (or even purple).  Some are now working on campaigns and some are looking for the next step up the ladder.  However they entered the program, they certainly left an indelible impression upon graduation.  Congratulations to the Class of 2010 and cheers to many years of your enthusiasm, your humor and your passion for Democratic politics.
