Wow! What a great program! How do I help?

The Institute for a Democratic Future is financed by people just like you. We rely on individual donors to bring the Democratic message to young people. We don't have the great social movements of the 60s and 70s to rally around -- so we must invest time and energy on the young people we have.

And young people are taking the message to heart and becoming active in politics here at home and in our nations capitol. Our results speak for themselves:

  • One graduate -- Marcus Courtney -- started a union.
  • Eleven graduates have worked on political campaigns, including two that
they met on the "Shadow a Legislator Day."
  • One graduate -- Judy Nicastro -- ran for Seattle City Council.
  • Five graduates work as staffers on Capitol Hill for Northwest members of
    Congress and Senator Patty Murray.
  • Three graduates own their own small businesses.
  • Two graduates are field staff for the House Democratic Campaign
    Committee.
  • Three graduates work as Legislative Aides in Olympia.
  • Three graduates work for non-profit groups.

I am a volunteer for this program and have devoted thousands of hours and dollars to making IDF a success. Now, I'm asking you to join me in making IDF a success.

I would like to make a personal appeal for your support. Your donation in the amount of $5,000, $2,500, $1,000, $500, $100 or $25 will help us train young people this year.

Please take out your checkbook today and write us a check for whatever you can afford and mail it to:
